Who we are and why we started:

Cornucopia is a small, family run business that has been providing high-quality healthy foods at outdoor events for over 15 years. Our catering trailer, pop-up gazeboos, stalls and Citroen H Van are now a regular fixture at a diverse range of events such as Glastonbury, Womad, Cambridge folk festival, the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, the Thames Festival, Camden Market and many more

Our family business started back in the 1950s when we first moved to England and opened a grocery store which soon became at the heart of the local community. This business continued until the late 1980s when we moved to outdoor catering, and using our Greek heritage began to develop a menu of traditional food that had not been seen before on the catering market.

Today, we continue to use recipes from the oldest generation in the family who have taught us their cooking skills and finally let us into the family secrets of the special ingredients which make our food so different.
What we do

Cornucopia pride themselves on offering a high quality and diverse range of traditional Greek/Cypriot village food using authentic recipes which have been handed down through the generations of this small family run business.

Cornucopia can provide a wide range of different foods depending on the requirements of each particular event/market.

Our Greek Expectations range includes the following dishes:

  • Greek Chicken Souvlaki wraps
  • Halloumi wraps – served with tomato, olive and coriander
  • Stuffed Vine leaves – served with humous and tahini
  • Falafel – served with humous and tahini
  • Vegetarian humous wraps – served with either roasted peppers
  • olives or aubergine
  • Loukanika – Traditional Greek sausages cooked in red wine
  • Greek Meze plate – a selection of traditional Greek/Cypriot cold dishes
  • melted halloumi and steakhouse patties

All of the above products are served with a traditional Greek olive oil salad and wrapped in a large Mediterranean pitta or served in a compostable container.

Greek Watermelon - sourced from a wholesaler who selects from a farm in Greece. Our melons are of the highest quality and we ensure that when served they are all fully ripe and ready to eat.

Corn on the Cob - high-quality corn sourced from British farmers and hand-selected by us. The corn is served in a biodegradable sleeve accompanied by our organic butter toppings.

Our frankfurter range includes 12” Bockwurst beechwood smoked sausage that is served in a baguette with cider onions and a choice of toppings. These frankfurters and onions are steamed through bain maries using no fatty oils in the cooking process. They are an ambient product which requires no refrigeration, thus keeping energy consumption levels down. Our van was recently trading at the Thames Festival, outside the skateboard park area selling the above and was very popular with the attending crowd.

We have now had a hand in producing our own 12" greek sausages (Loukanika), which we sell either in a flat pitta bread or a fresh baguette together with olive oil salad melted halloumi cheese and a choice of yoghurt and mint or chilli sauce.

We have purpose built market stalls that sell freshly sliced greek water melon and corn on the cob.
